Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. This page reads what your connection hands over the moment you open it — your address, your provider, what your browser volunteers without being asked — and shows you the result.

Prove it to yourself

Connect a tunnel — ROMbug Earth or anything else — and run this test again. Whatever changes between the two runs gets listed here, measured rather than claimed.

Your address doesn't know where you are. It knows who your provider is — and your provider knows who you are.

Where the points went

No mystery score. Here's the arithmetic.

Every test starts you at 100. Each thing your connection gives away costs points, and each one is listed below with what it means in practice.

Waiting for results…

Every test above runs in your browser except one. To name your location and provider, your public address is sent to our server and on to our lookup provider — there is no way to look up an address without sending it somewhere. Nothing is stored at either end, and no results leave your browser.

The limits of a web page

Three leaks a browser test can't reach.

A page can only measure what the browser hands it, once. Three things matter here that no web page can test, this one included.

DNS leaks

Every site you visit starts with a name lookup. If those lookups bypass your tunnel, your provider still has the full list — even with a VPN connected. Catching it takes a controlled resolver, not a web page.

Who's watching, per site

This page can tell you what you leak. It can't tell you that the article you opened loaded 34 third-party trackers, where they're hosted, or who owns them.

One network, one moment

This tested the connection you're on right now. A café, a hotel, a phone hotspot — each gives a different answer, and so does the same network before and after you connect a tunnel. One page load can't tell you that; a check you can re-run anywhere can.
